COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION
Students will work in groups of 4 to create the
materials.
Students will also work in mixed nationality groups to
create the materials.
Students will collaborate with other partners by means
of the TwinSpace and a wikispace to share information.
Teachers will also collaborate with other partners
facilitating materials and helping students.
My project "EDUCATION: COMPARE AND LEARN" can be
developed under collaborative research and opinion activities.
First of all, I will make partners collaborate in the planning of
everything involving the project: objectives, activities, evaluation rubrics,
etc... For that purpose, teachers can use the TwinSpace to share ideas and have
live meetings in which we can have the opportunity to know each other and
fasten boudaries.
USE OF TECHNOLOGY
The different teachers involved in the project will select the ICT used
for the students such as infographic tools, video creation tools, sound tools,
etc... which will be available for the students in their TwinSpace.
Students can add and use other ICT tools that they like or can suit the
project.
Moreover, students can join under the same platform to form international
teams to work on the subject. The first activity and one of the most important
has to do with the sharing of different models of Education in the different
countries. To work on this subject, students can develop different tasks:
- An opinion forum to
debate questions proposed by the teachers:
Among the questions:
- Do yo like your Education System? Why? Give reasons and examples if
possible
- Good / Bad things of Education in your country.
2. A research collaborative task to define Education
and other issues relating it.
For this task, three ways of study are proposed:
A. The creation of a common wiki in which students can define their Education
systems.
B. International team work in which each group will be assigned a topic.
Topics will be very varied such as:
- Laws regulating Education
- Public Education
- Private Education
- Schools
- Education systems
- Subjects of study
- Others relating education
C. Students will use videoconferences to work together and share ideas.
Students could share the information in a common web such as Dropmark ( to
share and store information for later use ). This information will be later
used to create the final product which is an online e-book describing the
different Education systems and comparing them.
RESULTS, IMPACT AND
DISTRIBUTION
The project will be evaluated at different levels:
Ø Students:
by means of questionnaires and rubrics.
Ø Teachers:
by means of questionnaires and rubrics.
The feedback of the project will be showed in a kind
of e-book shared by all the members and the activities will be also showed in the
school websites.
EVALUATION: The
project will be integrated into the different curricula of the subjects
involved through the achievement of one or various learning standards or
assessed contents.
